Choosing the right e-cig

Vaping is different for everyone and can be individualised and a lot of fun. Much of the vaping experience comes down to your reasons for choosing e-cigs over traditional cigarettes and what feels right for you. If you are new to electronic cigarettes and have recently made the switch from tobacco cigarettes, you may wish to start out with something that resembles a traditional cigarette, whereas if you been vaping for a while, you may want to go with something a little different.

Beginner Vapers - for those starting out or for those who aren't interested in more advanced mods

Variable Voltage or non- Variable Voltage types:

eGo Style

A popular, easy to use e-Cig with non-Variable Voltage.

eGo Twist (Joyetech), Winder (Smoktech) or Spinner (Vision)

These types of batteries are the same as the eGo style above, however, you can choose a voltage through twisting the bottom, pressing a button or using a regulated 3.3 V.

eGo Passthrough Battery

A passthrough battery can be used whilst being charged at the same time. This includes the eGo-T battery type and the Innokin iTaste VV V3.

There are many beginner style mods available, too many to mention on this list. You can use the above types as a basis for finding a style that suits you.

In addition to the above batteries, you will need a charger, an atomizer and some eJuice.

Intermediate Vapers - for those wishing to advance their vaping experience or those who want something more than a standard device.

Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage Mod Types:

Innokin iTaste VV V3 (with Passthrough Battery)

A versatile device which is 510 threaded and could also be considered a beginner device, it features a passthrough battery, meaning it can be used whilst being charged.

Innokin iTaste SVD

This telescopic tube  device features variable wattage and voltage, and supports 18350, 18500 or 18650 batteries. It is also threaded to fit a whole range of products such as the eGo, ViVi Nova, 510 and the iClear series.

SmokTech SID

This comes in a range of fixed and variable sizes and can be powered by a 18350, 18500 or 18650 Lithium-ion battery. It also has a display that shows atomizer/cartomizer resistance, battery under-load voltage and atomizer/cartomizer output voltage.

JoyeTech eVic

This variable voltage/ wattage device is eGo and 510 threaded and offers a variety of functions. It supports various Lithium batteries and the eVic control head can be purchased separately.

Mechanical Mods

There are many devices that fall into this category. Many require certain batteries and chargers as they only come with a body. Some, such as the passthrough, already have the battery integrated into the body.

Some other mechanical mods to add to the list are the Kamry K101, the SmokTech Magneto and the Sigelei ZMax , to mention a few.

Advanced Vapers

Many experienced vapers look not so much at the device they use but at high current performance and rebuildable RDAs. This requires much skill and knowledge.

Mechanical Mods

These can have a bottom or side firing pin, be a simple mechanical device, have a high current, reliable, with no VV or VW unless you option for a KICK to have those functions. Many of the intermediate devices can be used.
